Microgrid
A Microgrid is a group of electricity sources and loads that normally operates connected to the electrical grid, but can also disconnect and operate in "island mode" and function autonomously as physical or economic conditions dictate. This ability to operate connected to the electrical grid or in island mode provides the user great flexibility. A Microgrid can be used to reduce or eliminate peak and demand charges, utilize non grid sources of electricity as well as function as a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) if the grid ceases to function.
A Microgrid Controller can be added to our BESS Systems which will increase the usability of the system. Our BESS Systems can support a Microgrid system in island mode with or without other electrical generation sources such as Solar, Wind... The BESS System increases the usability of a Microgrid System as well as gives the user options not available when only using the electrical grid or intermittent sources of supplemental electricity as primary and alternate power.
